Hello there! San Diego Comic-Con is coming up in two weeks (July 23 – 26, 2026) and I will be there! I will be moderating two panels:
- Star Wars Tourism: Visiting the Galaxy Far, Far Away on Earth, Friday, 7/24/2026, 6:00PM – 7:00PM, Room: 7AB
From the deserts of Tunisia and California in the original trilogy to the palaces of Italy and Spain in the prequels to the newest sites from Andor and The Mandalorian, Star Wars filming sites are on every fan’s travel bucket list. Want to learn about where to go, how to get there, and how to get the most out of it with your fellow Star Wars fans? Our team of globetrotters will share their travel knowledge to get you around the galaxy, from England to Madeira Island to our own Imperial Valley! Our crew of galactic tourism explorers include James Floyd (Star Wars Insider, Star Wars Crossword Puzzles), Charla Teeters-Stewart (Imperial Valley Film Commission), Melissa Miller (Star Wars Insider), and Jake Rowlett (SDSU Geography and film lecturer). - Grogu’s World: The Science Behind the Mandalorian, Saturday, 7/25/26, 7:30PM – 8:30PM, Room: 5AB
As the Mandalorian and Grogu embark on a dangerous new adventure, the Fleet Science Center brings local scientists together to look at the science behind the space saga. Neuroscientists, engineers, child development specialists, and even a local Star Wars expert discuss all the important questions: will we ever have armor like Mando? Is Grogu’s evolution similar to that of human children? What would life on other planets really look like?
Additionally, I’d like to highlight some other cool panels featuring some of my friends!
